Flashpoint Bristol is proud to support Queer Climb:
“After noticing that there are a lot of queer climbers but there wasn’t a dedicated queer safe space at climbing walls in Bristol, we wanted to create a group for anyone who identifies themselves in the LGBTQIA+ community to feel welcome, make friends and climb in a supportive space.
Queer Climb is for adults of any age (18+), ability or orientation. Whether you have been climbing all your life, dabbled, or this is your first time you are all invited to join us!
Queer Climb is held at Flashpoint on the 1st Thursday of the month (with additional ad hoc climbing sessions peppered in) 7pm until 9pm.
First time climbers get entry for £11 with shoe hire for one month!
What to expect from our sessions: We’re big on creating a supportive and encouraging environment, we cheer everyone on whether you are flashing a hard route or getting to the top of a beginner route you have been struggling with. Small victories and big victories are equal at Queer Climb. Whilst we don’t provide coaching we work together as a group to project problems, giving tips and suggestions as we go.”
